Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about our clinical process, specialist network, and data security.
Do I need my primary doctor's permission to get a second opinion?
You do not need your primary care physician's permission to ask for a second opinion. We will not contact your doctor, nor will we send them any of your confidential reports unless you have specifically requested that we do so.
What information do I need to provide for a second opinion?
You will need to register by creating an account, answer a medical questionnaire, submit related medical documents and upload your imaging scans. All documents can be uploaded digitally through the portal.
How long will it take to get a second opinion?
Generally you will receive your report within 48 hours after we successfully receive your complete medical documents and images. Complex reports may take up to 5 business days. You will be updated by our support team if your case requires additional time.
What are the qualifications of the doctors?
All specialists on the Bondmedic panel are verified, board-certified practitioners with documented credentials and extensive experience. Many hold fellowship training and additional certifications in their subspecialties.
Is my medical information confidential?
Yes. Your medical records are handled under GDPR with AES-256 encryption at rest and TLS 1.3 in transit. We will never contact your primary physician or share your information without your explicit written consent.
Do you have technical support?
Our chat-based technical support operates around the clock — 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Phone support is available Monday–Friday 8am–6pm. Email responses are within 12 hours during business days.
What types of consultations are available?
We offer three consultation types: written advisory report (detailed Medical Advice Note), telephonic consultation (voice call with your specialist), and video consultation (live session). The appropriate type depends on your case and specialty.
Can I get a follow-up consultation?
Yes. After your initial second opinion, you can request a follow-up consultation with your assigned specialist, seek an additional specialist opinion, request treatment planning, or enquire about treatment facilitation options.
Do you offer consultations for minors?
Yes. We have dedicated consent pathways for minor patients, requiring guardian or parent consent. Age verification is documented and child safeguarding protocols are active throughout the process.
What is the Medical Advice Note?
The Medical Advice Note is a formal, professionally structured document issued after your consultation. It contains: clinical assessment of your case, second opinion on your diagnosis, treatment recommendations, and specialist referral guidance where applicable.
